GREATER SYDNEY COVERAGE
Commercial Kitchen & Facility Cleaning Across Greater Sydney
We specialise in commercial kitchen exhaust, canopy, duct and grease filter cleaning, and we clean the rest of the building too. Every job is run to AS 1851-2012, worked around your trading hours, and written up in a PDF report that lands within 24 hours. One crew, one base at Girraween, the whole of Greater Sydney.
Kitchen exhaust specialists, based in Western Sydney
HygieneXperts is a commercial cleaning business based at Girraween in Western Sydney, specialising in commercial kitchen exhaust, canopy, rangehood, duct, grease filter, fryer and cool room cleaning.
Kitchen exhaust is the trade we came up in, and it is still the bulk of what we do. Grease in a canopy plenum is a fire load sitting directly above an open flame, and the part of the system that matters most is the part nobody can see: the horizontal duct run and the fan on the roof. That is the work we are set up for.
We clean the rest of the building as well: offices, gyms, medical and education settings, strata common areas and car parks, and high-pressure work on the hardstand outside. Most of our long-standing customers started with a canopy and kept us on for everything else.
There is one office, at Girraween, and our crews travel from it to sites across Greater Sydney. No franchises, no subcontracted labour hire, no second depot we do not tell you about.

The people we usually hear from
It is for the people who are accountable when a commercial kitchen or a commercial building fails an inspection: venue operators, food and beverage managers, facilities managers and strata managers.
Restaurant, café and QSR operators
You need the canopy, filters and duct degreased on a cycle you can evidence, done after close so you do not lose a service.
Hotel, club and pub F&B managers
You are running several kitchens and a cool room under one roof, on trading hours that never stop.
Building and facilities managers
You need contractors who arrive with the induction done, the dock booked and the paperwork in the format your file takes.
Strata managers
Bin rooms, car parks and common areas across a portfolio, scheduled so residents are not woken and the committee gets a record.
What we clean, kitchen work first
Nine services, led by commercial kitchen exhaust and canopy work and extending through fryer, cool room, facility, strata and high-pressure cleaning.
Rangehood, canopy and grease filter cleaning
Canopies, rangehoods and filters degreased back to bare metal, with a certificate and before-and-after photos on completion.

Where our crews get to
Twelve areas across Greater Sydney, from the CBD and the inner city out to Macarthur, the Northern Beaches and the Blue Mountains.
The city core and the inner ring around it: Sydney CBD, Haymarket, Barangaroo, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Millers Point, Pyrmont, Ultimo, Chippendale, Surry Hills, Green Square, Zetland and Waterloo.
Barangaroo South and Circular Quay anchor the commercial core. Dixon Street and the Chinatown blocks around it form one of the country's densest restaurant clusters, and Crown Street in Surry Hills is a continuous café and small-bar strip. Westfield Sydney above Pitt Street Mall and Broadway Sydney both operate large food courts. Sydney Hospital on Macquarie Street and the University of Technology Sydney campus each run catering kitchens. Hotel kitchens, office-tower tenancies and high-rise strata sit above all of it.
The Western Distributor and Eastern Distributor route traffic around the core, and the L2 and L3 light rail lines run the length of George Street, which is a pedestrian zone. Access is booked rather than assumed: tower docks run to timed windows, basement height limits rule out taller vans, and overnight noise restrictions apply near residential floors.
Office and facility cleaning, strata common areas and car parks, and canopy work for hotel and restaurant kitchens are the usual scope. Tell us the building and we will quote it.
Coverage here runs through Parramatta, Harris Park, Granville, Girraween, Wentworthville, Merrylands, Auburn, Rydalmere, Silverwater, Blacktown, Smithfield and Wetherill Park.
Parramatta is Sydney's second CBD, and Parramatta Square is its commercial core. Church Street carries one of the city's densest dining strips; Wigram Street in Harris Park is a restaurant precinct of its own. Westfield Parramatta and Westpoint Blacktown operate large food courts. Institutional kitchens sit at Westmead Hospital and Western Sydney University's Parramatta campuses. Silverwater and Wetherill Park hold food-manufacturing estates.
The M4 Motorway crosses the region east–west; the Cumberland Highway and James Ruse Drive are the cross-arterials, and the Western Line runs through Parramatta and Blacktown. Church Street and Macquarie Street in the Parramatta CBD are light rail and pedestrian zones served by the L4 line between Westmead and Carlingford, which limits vehicle access and kerbside loading. HygieneXperts is based at Girraween, inside this region.
Kitchen work dominates here. Rangehood, canopy and filter cleaning, exhaust fan and duct cleaning, and kitchen deep cleaning with cool room cleaning are what these kitchens most often need. Request a quote to confirm availability.
Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Bella Vista, Norwest, Kellyville, Rouse Hill, Beaumont Hills, Glenhaven, Dural and Cherrybrook.
Norwest Business Park is the commercial centre of gravity, a planned office park with its own food-service cluster rather than a traditional high street. Castle Hill RSL runs a kitchen at club scale. Castle Towers and Rouse Hill Town Centre both carry large food courts, the latter laid out as an open main street rather than an enclosed mall. Norwest Private Hospital is the main institutional kitchen, and around it sit corporate tenancies, medical suites, childcare and schools.
The M2 Hills Motorway is the through route, Windsor Road and Old Northern Road are the arterials, and the Sydney Metro North West line runs from Tallawong through Rouse Hill, Bella Vista and Norwest. Business-park sites are gated after hours and need security sign-in, and height limits in the newer basement car parks decide which vehicle reaches the plant.
Facility cleaning for corporate tenancies, medical and aged care work, and exhaust duct cleaning for club and hospital kitchens are the common requests. Send the site details for a quote.
This block covers Chatswood, North Sydney, St Leonards, Crows Nest, Lane Cove, Artarmon, Willoughby, Gordon, Hornsby, Macquarie Park, Ryde, Epping, Eastwood and Pymble.
Two corridors run through it: the St Leonards health and commercial precinct, and the Macquarie Park corporate and university corridor. Victoria Avenue in Chatswood is a dense Asian dining strip with food halls at street and basement level, and Rowe Street in Eastwood is a concentrated restaurant precinct. Westfield Chatswood and Macquarie Centre both operate large food courts. The institutional kitchens are substantial: Royal North Shore Hospital, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Macquarie University. Around them sit office towers, medical suites and residential high-rise.
The Pacific Highway is the spine, Epping Road and the Lane Cove Tunnel carry the east–west traffic, and the North Shore Line runs beneath much of it. Clearway hours on the Pacific Highway remove kerbside access through the peaks, tower docks are booked in advance, and hospital campuses run their own contractor induction before anyone reaches a kitchen.
Healthcare and aged care cleaning, office and facility programs, and kitchen deep cleaning for campus and food-hall kitchens are the usual scope. Ask for a quote for your site.
Newtown, Marrickville, Enmore, Leichhardt, Ashfield, Dulwich Hill, Petersham, Balmain, Rozelle, Annandale, Summer Hill and Camperdown.
Marrickville's old industrial pocket has been reworked into a brewery and food-production precinct. King Street and Enmore Road together form one of the longest continuous eating strips in Sydney, and Norton Street in Leichhardt is a long-standing Italian dining precinct. Marrickville Metro and Ashfield Mall carry the food courts. Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus are the institutional kitchens. The rest is small venues: terrace-front restaurants, pubs and cafés in buildings never designed around a commercial kitchen.
Parramatta Road and the City West Link are the through roads, the Rozelle Interchange sits under the western end, and the L1 light rail runs from Dulwich Hill to Central. This is the hardest region in Sydney for vehicle access: terrace frontages with no rear lane, resident-only parking, and kitchens in basements or behind narrow shopfronts where equipment comes through the dining room.
Small-venue canopy and filter work is the bulk of it, often with access panel installation where ductwork was never built to be reached, plus high-pressure cleaning for rear yards. Get in touch for a quote.
Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Randwick, Coogee, Double Bay, Rose Bay, Paddington, Woollahra, Waverley, Maroubra, Kensington, Mascot and Rosebery.
Bondi Junction is the commercial centre, a transport interchange with towers and retail stacked around it. Campbell Parade at Bondi Beach is a beachfront hospitality strip, and Oxford Street through Paddington is a long retail and eating run. Westfield Bondi Junction holds the main food court. Prince of Wales Hospital at Randwick and the UNSW Kensington campus are the large institutional kitchens. Mascot and Rosebery differ again: hotels, catering and light industrial units serving the airport precinct rather than a high street.
Southern Cross Drive and General Holmes Drive carry traffic south towards the Sydney Airport precinct, and Anzac Parade is the north–south arterial through Kensington and Randwick. Beachfront venues at Bondi and Coogee have almost no off-street loading, Paddington runs to narrow one-way lanes, and airport precinct sites keep their own security and access control.
Cool room and kitchen deep cleaning for the hospitality strips, fryer and equipment cleaning for high-turnover venues, and strata car park work for the apartment stock. Contact us to have your site quoted.
Bankstown, Canterbury, Campsie, Lakemba, Punchbowl, Liverpool, Fairfield, Cabramatta, Chester Hill, Yagoona, Padstow and Revesby.
Two city centres carry this region rather than one: Bankstown and Liverpool. Its food-service density is unusual: John Street and Freedom Plaza in Cabramatta form a Vietnamese dining precinct, Haldon Street in Lakemba is a Lebanese eating strip that runs late through Ramadan, and Beamish Street in Campsie is a Korean and Chinese restaurant run. Bankstown Central and Westfield Liverpool operate the food courts. Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Liverpool Hospital are the major institutional kitchens. Alongside them sit bakeries, halal butchers and food wholesalers working out of small industrial units.
The M5 Motorway and the Hume Highway run through the region, with Canterbury Road as the cross-arterial and Liverpool a rail interchange. Most kitchens here are in strip shops: the grease trap sits in a shared rear lane, the service yard is one van wide, and the exhaust fan discharges over a neighbouring tenancy — which decides both the access route and the hour.
Canopy and filter cleaning, fryer and equipment cleaning, and cooking oil change and filtering are the recurring needs. Send the venue details for a quote.
Hurstville, Kogarah, Rockdale, Bexley, Carlton, Beverly Hills, Mortdale, Penshurst, Sans Souci and Brighton-Le-Sands.
Hurstville town centre is the commercial hub, with high-rise residential built directly over the retail. Forest Road in Hurstville is a dense Chinese dining strip, and Bay Street at Brighton-Le-Sands is a waterfront Mediterranean and Greek eating run facing Botany Bay. Westfield Hurstville is the main food court. St George Hospital at Kogarah is the large institutional kitchen, and the medical precinct around it adds clinics and aged care. The remainder is mixed-use: ground-floor restaurants under apartment towers, where the exhaust riser runs up through occupied residential floors.
The Princes Highway is the spine and King Georges Road the main cross-route, with the Illawarra rail line running through Hurstville and Rockdale. Clearway hours on the Princes Highway close off kerbside work through the peaks, foreshore parking at Brighton-Le-Sands fills through summer, and a riser passing residential floors sets a hard limit on when noisy work is acceptable.
Exhaust duct cleaning through occupied buildings, facility cleaning for the medical suites, and high-pressure work on foreshore hardstand are the usual requests. Ask us to quote your site.
Sutherland, Miranda, Caringbah, Cronulla, Engadine, Menai, Gymea, Kirrawee and Taren Point.
Taren Point is the Shire's light-industrial and trade base, where its food wholesalers and commissary kitchens sit. Cronulla Street and the Kingsway carry the hospitality: a beachside strip of cafés, restaurants and licensed venues that swings hard between winter and summer trade. Westfield Miranda is the regional centre and food court, and Sutherland Hospital at Caringbah is the institutional kitchen. Aged care and childcare are unusually well represented here.
The Shire sits behind the Georges River, and Taren Point Road over the Captain Cook Bridge is the main way in and out — one crossing carrying most of the traffic, with no easy detour when it closes. The Cronulla rail branch runs to the coast, beachside parking is restricted through summer, and the service lanes behind the Cronulla Street shops are narrow.
Kitchen deep cleaning and cool room work for beachside venues, and high-pressure cleaning for outdoor dining areas. Get a quote for your venue.
Campbelltown, Camden, Narellan, Gregory Hills, Ingleburn, Minto, Leumeah, Oran Park, Smeaton Grange and Currans Hill.
Macarthur is the fastest-changing part of this list, with new residential releases arriving ahead of the services that follow them. Smeaton Grange and the Ingleburn industrial estate are the two commercial and food-production concentrations. Queen Street in Campbelltown is the older main-street dining run, and Argyle Street in Camden is a heritage high street of restaurants and cafés. Macarthur Square and Narellan Town Centre carry the food courts. Campbelltown Hospital and Camden Hospital are the institutional kitchens. Newer suburbs bring childcare centres, clubs and neighbourhood shopping strips in short order.
Narellan Road links Campbelltown to Camden, Camden Valley Way runs north-west through the new release areas, and Appin Road heads south; the South Line terminates at Macarthur. Distances between sites here are longer than anywhere else in this list, industrial estates run gated after-hours access, and a single visit can mean two or three separate site inductions.
Facility cleaning for new commercial tenancies, strata and car park work across the newer complexes, and exhaust duct cleaning for club and centre kitchens. Contact us for a quote.
Manly, Dee Why, Brookvale, Frenchs Forest, Mona Vale, Narrabeen, Avalon Beach, Freshwater, Collaroy, Warriewood and Newport.
Brookvale is the light-industrial and brewery precinct supplying much of the peninsula. The Corso at Manly is a pedestrian hospitality strip running beach to harbour, and the Dee Why beachfront is a continuous restaurant and café run. Warringah Mall is the regional centre and food court. Northern Beaches Hospital at Frenchs Forest is the major institutional kitchen. Surf clubs, bowling clubs and beachfront kiosks add a layer of small licensed kitchens most regions do not have.
There is no heavy rail on the Northern Beaches at all: the B-Line bus is the trunk service, Pittwater Road is the single continuous north–south road, and the Wakehurst Parkway is the only inland alternative. Everything from the south crosses the Spit Bridge, which opens for boat traffic on a schedule. One road serves a long, narrow peninsula, and that shapes every access window on it.
Canopy and filter cleaning for beachfront venues, kitchen deep cleaning and cool room work for the clubs, and high-pressure cleaning for salt-exposed outdoor areas. Request a quote.
Katoomba, Leura, Springwood, Blaxland, Glenbrook, Wentworth Falls, Lawson, Blackheath, Hazelbrook and Medlow Bath.
This region works differently from every other block here. Katoomba Street is the main town centre and the Leura Mall shopfronts are the second concentration: village high streets, not commercial districts. Hospitality is driven by visitors rather than residents: guesthouses, small hotels, restaurants and cafés serving Echo Point and Three Sisters traffic, with kitchens that swing full to empty by season. There is no regional shopping-centre food court in the mountains, so food-service volume sits in independent venues and accommodation kitchens. Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital at Katoomba and Springwood Hospital are the institutional kitchens.
The Great Western Highway is the single spine, climbing through Victoria Pass with limited overtaking and long gaps between towns; the Blue Mountains rail line follows it. Village main streets have no rear service access, older guesthouses have kitchens built into heritage buildings, and winter weather on the highway is a real scheduling factor rather than a footnote.
Exhaust duct and fan cleaning for accommodation and venue kitchens, kitchen deep cleaning with cool room work, and cooking oil change and filtering. Ask for a quote and we will confirm coverage.
Working around your trading hours, not against them
Work is scheduled around your trading hours — after close, overnight or on a changeover day — and around whatever the building allows, usually the tighter of the two.
After-hours and overnight scheduling
Kitchen exhaust work needs the kitchen cold and empty, so it happens after close or overnight. Most venues we clean never lose a service over it: the crew arrives as the last staff leave and is gone before the morning prep starts.
SWMS and site paperwork before we start
A safe work method statement goes to you before the crew is booked, because roof-mounted fans are work at height and ductwork is a confined space. If your building needs it lodged with the managing agent, send us the address and we will lodge it.
Loading docks and service lifts
Docks in the towers and larger centres run to booked windows, and service lifts are shared — the booking usually decides the hour.
Induction and security passes
Many buildings, hospital campuses and business parks require a site induction and an issued pass before a contractor gets past reception. Tell us your process and we complete it up front.
Fire system coordination
Exhaust cleaning can affect detection in the kitchen and the riser, so the fire system may need isolating for the duration and reinstating at the end, coordinated with whoever holds the panel.
Waste and grease on constrained sites
Wash-down water and grease waste have to leave the site properly, which on a strip-shop job is often the part that takes the planning.
Dispatch from one location
There is one office, at Girraween. Crews travel from it to your site — there is no second branch anywhere in this list.
The paperwork that lands in your compliance file
A kitchen exhaust clean finishes with an AS 1851-2012 fire-safety compliance certificate and a before-and-after photo report, issued together as a single PDF within 24 hours of the crew leaving site.
Before the work
The system is inspected to establish what is reachable: a duct run with no access panel cannot be cleaned or certified, and that is identified before quoting rather than after.
During the work
Condition and grease build-up are photographed section by section, before and after.
What you receive
A fire-safety compliance certificate and a photo report on completion, covering every section of the system that was opened, cleaned and closed back up.
Report format and turnaround
One PDF, emailed to whoever you nominate, within 24 hours of the job finishing. It carries the date and time on site, the technician who did the work, the before-and-after photographs section by section, the location of every access panel used, the certificate itself, and the date the next service falls due. It is built to be forwarded straight to an insurer or a managing agent without you rewriting anything.
Who the documentation serves
The record is written for whoever asks for it after the fact: an insurer, a fire-safety auditor, a council or food-authority inspector, or a head office compliance file.
Record retention
We keep every report for seven years and can re-issue any of them on request. That matters more often than people expect: the person who booked the clean has usually moved on by the time an insurer asks for the history, and a building changing managing agents will be asked for records nobody on site has kept. Ask for the address and we will send what we hold.
The standards this work is done to
Kitchen exhaust cleaning is carried out and documented to AS 1851-2012, ductwork access follows AS 1668.1, and every job runs under a SafeWork NSW safe work method statement.
AS 1851-2012, Section 15
The Australian Standard for routine service of fire protection systems sets out how kitchen exhaust hood and duct systems are inspected, cleaned and recorded. It is the reason the job finishes with a certificate rather than an invoice: your fire safety records need to show the system was serviced, by whom, and when it falls due again. We clean to it and document to it.
AS 1668.1 access openings
A duct can only be cleaned where it can be reached, and AS 1668.1 governs where access openings sit in kitchen exhaust ductwork and how they are built. Where a run has no way in, we say so at the inspection and quote the panels separately rather than certifying a system we could not get inside.
SafeWork NSW and the SWMS
Roof-mounted exhaust fans are work at height and ductwork is a confined space, so both sit inside the high-risk work provisions of the NSW WHS Regulation. A safe work method statement is prepared for the site and sent to you before the booking is confirmed, along with the certificate of currency if your building or agent asks for one.
GECA-certified products
The degreasers and sanitisers we use are certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia, the country's independent ecolabel. It matters most in food areas and in occupied buildings: a product with third-party certification behind it is one you can put in front of a food-authority inspector or a building committee without a discussion about what was sprayed near the prep benches.
Photos of our own work, when we have them
No photographs are published here yet, because the business has no owned project photography and a stock image would show work that is not ours.
Reserved for photographs of HygieneXperts’ own completed work. Deliberately empty: there is no owned project photography yet, and a stock image would misrepresent work that has not been shown.

BEFORE WE QUOTE, and how we arrive at the number
Every job is a fixed price, quoted in writing after a free site inspection, and set by the canopy size, the length and reachability of the duct run, and how the site has to be accessed.
We do not quote commercial kitchen work over the phone from a floor area, and we do not charge by the hour — a job that runs long becomes our problem rather than yours. Someone comes out, looks at the system, and prices what is actually there. These are the six things that set the number:
Canopy size, and how many canopies the kitchen runs
Length of the duct run, and how much of it can genuinely be reached
Whether the exhaust fan can be accessed, and how it is mounted
Grease load — how heavy the build-up is, and how long since the last clean
Access hours, and whether the work has to run overnight
Site constraints: dock booking, lift access, stair carries, waste removal
The figure on the quote is the figure on the invoice. If we open a run and find more than the inspection showed, we ring you and you decide — we do not add it to the bill afterwards. Recurring programs are quoted the same way, at a rate that settles below the first clean because there is less to recover each visit.
Send through the site details and we will book the inspection and come back with a fixed written price.
COMMON QUESTIONS
The questions we get asked most
Compliance, access, turnaround and how a quote actually gets to you.
Yes. HygieneXperts cleans and documents commercial kitchen exhaust systems to AS 1851-2012 Section 15, the current edition of the standard. Every job finishes with a fire-safety compliance certificate and a section-by-section photo report, issued together as one PDF for your fire safety records.
AS 1851-2012 sets the interval by how hard the kitchen works. Heavy use, such as a charcoal grill or a high-volume fryer, is every three months. Moderate use is six months. Light or seasonal use is twelve months. We confirm your band at the inspection.
Yes. Commercial kitchen exhaust work needs the kitchen cold and out of service, so it is normally done after close or overnight. Facility, strata and car park cleaning is scheduled outside occupied hours too. Tell us your window and we book the crew around it.
Every crew leaves from one base at Girraween, beside the M4 and the Cumberland Highway. Western Sydney sites are short runs. The CBD, Inner West and Northern Beaches are scheduled around building access windows rather than distance. You get a confirmed booked time, not a travel estimate.
Send us the venue, the building and the access hours you can give us. We book a free site inspection, look at the canopy, duct run and fan, then send a fixed written price. The figure on that quote is the figure on the invoice.
Yes. You receive an AS 1851-2012 compliance certificate and before-and-after photographs of every section cleaned, in one PDF within 24 hours of completion. It records the date, the technician, the access panel locations and the next service due — the fields auditors ask for.
HygieneXperts carries $20 million in public liability cover, and a certificate of currency goes to you or your managing agent on request. Every technician is police-checked and inducted before going on site, and a safe work method statement is issued before the booking is confirmed.
GECA-certified degreasers and sanitisers, certified by Good Environmental Choice Australia, an independent Australian ecolabel. They are safe to use around prep benches and cool rooms, and because the certification is third-party it stands up in front of a food-authority inspector or a building committee.
One PDF, emailed within 24 hours of the crew leaving site. It carries the compliance certificate, before-and-after photographs section by section, the access panels used, the technician and the next service date. We keep a copy for seven years and re-issue it on request.
No. HygieneXperts is based at Girraween and travels to customer sites across Greater Sydney. There is one office and one address, and every area listed on this page is serviced from it. No franchises, no local branches, no subcontracted labour hire.
The twelve areas on this page name the suburbs where our work is most concentrated, not every suburb in each area. If yours is not named, ask us. Coverage is confirmed per site and depends on the service, the site access and the scheduling.
Yes. Dock booking windows, service lift availability, vehicle height limits and building access hours are all part of the scope, confirmed before the visit rather than discovered on the day. Send us the building’s contractor requirements and we complete the induction up front.
Yes. Multiple sites are scheduled under one agreement and invoiced together, which is the usual pattern for hospitality groups, facilities managers and strata portfolios. Each site still gets its own certificate and photo report, so the compliance file stays per-address.
Standard coverage is Greater Sydney, including the Blue Mountains. Work beyond that — the Central Coast, Wollongong and the Illawarra — is taken by quotation, usually where a customer already runs Sydney sites with us. Ask, and we will tell you plainly whether we can service it.
